About Boulder County Criminal History

Boulder County records are divided among the Sheriff's Records Section, the 20th Judicial District courts, municipal courts, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Colorado Department of Corrections, and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry. This private reference resource organizes those official routes so a reader can identify the custodian, request method, and contact point without treating unlike records as one file.

Why We Built This Site

Colorado provides several public access routes, yet the office that created a record remains central. BCSO holds its reports and Boulder County Jail material. Court clerks keep filed charges and dispositions. CBI maintains reported statewide criminal history, while CDOC and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry publish narrower status records. We assemble verified contacts, official portals, fee details, and request steps for those separate sources.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site with no connection to a Colorado court, law enforcement agency, or state office. Its role has firm limits:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing agency - the sheriff, the court, or the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) - can provide an official copy of a criminal record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
